While AST focuses almost all of our energy on providing high-quality, cost-effective, and fast captioning services, we do reserve some energy for ensuring we are a good corporate citizen. Because AST serves disabled communities as users of captioning services we endeavor to make their own media rich, comprehensive and accessible. We believe that universal design principles enable users to learn and use media in the way that best suits their preferences and abilities, and we strive to implement these principles.
Our VPAT is available for any education or government customers who are evaluating captioning and transcription services. The VPAT describes how our services comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation amendment to the ADA information technology requirement and World Wide Web (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) standards.
