Automatic Sync Technologies announces the addition of Pat Brogan as Vice President, Sales and Marketing to the company. Pat brings a wealth of experience to Automatic Sync in the field of education technology and accessibility. Pat comes to Automatic Sync Technologies from Echo360, the leading provider of lecture capture software and partner to Automatic Sync.

Pat holds a B.S. degree from Northwestern University, M.S degrees from The University of San Francisco and The Fielding Institute and a Ph.D. from Fielding in human and organizational development. Pat has worked for IBM, Borland, Apple Computer and Macromedia, with focus areas of educational technology.

Pat has worked with the deaf community and organizations to advance accessibility standards and implementation. “My work and research has shown that computers can be used to help people learn in the context most relevant to them. Being presented with options that include different visual elements including captioned files helps people with different learning styles, not just those with hearing impairments. I hope to see content with transcripts and captions made available to many students to support their unique learning needs. In this time where educational budgets are being slashed and students expect mobile content, captioning can really add value and help make content more useful and reusable”.

Pat serves on the board of several non-profit organizations, and volunteers as a sexual assault counselor, is an avid cyclist, sailor, tennis player and mom.
