AST partners its technology with Mediasite, a comprehensive system by Sonic Foundry that gives universities, corporations and government agencies a complete platform to record, deliver and manage their multimedia lectures and presentations for online and blended learning, special events, training and alumni relations.
Viewers can watch in real-time or on-demand, and listen to podcasts from portable devices. With Mediasite, users can search within videos using the captions. Clicking on the search results plays back a specific part of the video.

Mediasite Captioning Workflow
AST and Sonic Foundry have partnered to make the captioning workflow seamless. First, record your presentations. Then use the Mediasite Captioning Manager to select the presentations to be captioned. Mediasite automatically uploads your recordings to CaptionSync which creates the closed caption files and automatically returns them to their corresponding presentation. Viewers will see the closed captions in the Mediasite Player. The automated workflow is available in Mediasite versions 5.1 or later.
