>> Hello, this is a quick getting started video for using AST's new Submit a List of URLs feature. To enable this feature on your account you just basically go to help and submit a Support Ticket Request and choose, add a submit URL list capabilities. This account already has that and when that's added you'll see some new items here in the left hand nav: New List of URLs and Status of Existing Lists . Of note, that if you have transcription only as a application type you'll need to choose the correct application type because you can submit a list for both captioning and transcription or for transcription only. This account is only enabled for transcription or captioning rather so it's quite straightforward. Basically we need four things, a description of your list which needs to be unique, the transcription options, so this could be nothing or it could be choosing rush or note which will pertain to all the items in your list. Finally, we would need to know some URLs and whether you would like these URLs or the results for these URLs zipped up as one batch and emailed when they are all of them complete. If you choose that option this List Description above will be used as the batch identifier. So, let's get started, let's choose this one as Computer Science for example and we're going to have it rush, let's submit our URLs. Basically those URLs need to be to a particular media file in general, except in the case of YouTube where it's got this strange looking URL. If it's a website starting with www, you don't need the http in front of it. You could also submit FTP files if there's authentication, its username colon, password, @ and then the FTP site. If you are using an anonymous FTP then that username and password is not required. For further details, click the question button here to get details on formatting. Also for this one we're going to choose have them not zipped up as a batch. So, the only other thing of note here is that when we do these submissions they will get the caption output and formatting from your defaults, so make sure the defaults are what you'd like before you hit the submit button. Once we hit the submit button we'll get some feedback fairly quickly and we'll note here that one of those URLs was not referring to a media file so it was not accepted in that list. So basically we know we've got all our files there ready and we can now go to Status of Existing Lists to see the new list that we've added and we see that it's got three items, they're all listed here but it hasn't yet processed this. Let's quickly go to another one which has already been processed and you'll note that there's I guess three possible things which might happen, one is we were successfully able to download the file and process it successfully, the other thing possible is that we weren't able to get the media file, so for example there was a 404 error in http. In that case this would be red and it would say the http error. For more details on the status codes you can click the question mark button again and as always mouse over things to get more information. So this one has completed all the items in the list and since we have selected to process this list as a batch that has been emailed out to us but if for example we didn't get that email or the like well we can also download it directly from here. It's a zip file and that will be all your results. The only other thing worth mentioning is there are a couple of new settings with respect to when you want to receive emails. So if you go into Settings you'll note in this area here some List of URLs configuration options and you can choose whether to be emailed about getting List of URLs results back and such. If you have further questions please submit a support ticket and we will certainly get you going.
