>> Hello. This is a quick getting-started video for new users, those of you not familiar with the old CaptionSync login. So when you get your username and password email from AST when you sign up, this is where you put it. Of note, if you click this checkbox, it will remember your user ID for next time. So let's get started. First thing that you need to do when you log in is look at and read the terms and conditions and then accept them. When you log in the first time, you will be presented with the two items of note. One is you'll always receive new unread news here and you can choose to mark it as read or unread. When your--even if you mark it as read, you'll be able to see it later under the All News here. So let's mark that as read. The other thing you'll note is your prepaid balance as not initialized. So this is for prepaid accounts. If your college or university is billed in arrears, then you can basically just start go just go to submitting your captions. But for those of you that need a prepaid balance, it's fairly straightforward. You can just mouse over, mouse over is very ubiquitous across the system. So, if you mouse over pretty much anything here, it'll tell you a little bit about what's under the menu item and that sort of thing. So step one here is deciding how much time we need. So if we have, you know, 58-minute program, you need to bill in 5-minute increments, so that's 60. We can choose to have Regular Transcription or Rush Transcription. So what if let's go with Regular. We can have Result Review and that's whereby you have someone manually check your results. And you probably want the durations involved in these things to match up. If you want Digital NLE Captions for your Avid or Final Cut Pro, you can do a print-to-tape for broadcast media and purchase these on a per submission basis. So if we get one oops--one of those, then we can choose to get the total. Step two is generate the invoice, and step 3 is pay the invoice. This is where you put your credit card information and I guess the only thing of note here is that you can save this is default right here, then you can click the Pay Now. When you click the Pay Now, you will then see your prepaid balance updated to 60-minutes up here and you can do your first submission. Okay. So if we--let's call this Program 1 and we need this transcribed. If we had purchased Rush Transcription then it would be checked here and you could have it. If we have Notes to the Transcriber, for example, we want the speaker IDs and certain style, we can put that here. So let's do that. [ Pause ] >> Now choose Media File. Basically let's choose that. And if you have questions about which media files we accept, you can basically go here and see the various types here. Advanced settings. Basically this is where you would choose which outputs you want. For Broadcast, those are highlighted with the asterisk behind them. Those are for Broadcast Media, Line 21 closed captions. As a result, that was then limited to 32 characters per line. If you deselect these, then you are more flexible with respect to your caption line length and such and you could change it to, you know, 48 or that sort of thing. But if we want our Digital NLE Captions or you know what have you, then it locks it down. For Broadcast customers and those using Digital NLE Captions, this is where you would select them. If you have questions on how to set it up, visit--this will take you to the Wiki page. You can also set the offsets. So if you're not using a zero start time on your program, you can say you're using a one hour offset, you could set it here. Again, if you have questions about that, visit the Wiki here. We can choose our Digital NLE. And again, mouse over if you have questions about pretty much any of these things. 2, 26. Choose that. And down here we have a couple of options. If you would like to review the transcript you get back from the transcriber and to have us -- since we purchased this, we might as well use it. Let's do that, and again, save as default, apply those changes, and start the upload. You'll notice that when it's complete, it's gonna take a little while after you're done to analyze the media file, so you need to wait. It takes a little time to analyze the file. When you get--when you're done, you'll now get your results back. It looks like this. That was pretty much everything you need to know. If you mouse over the things up here, it'll tell you which outputs are which. And if you want to see the status on your existing submissions, you go here, and you can drill into them here and again you'll see your statuses. Again, you can click here to cancel if your submission was not of the expected duration down here of 59 minutes or what have you. The only thing I'll note here, I guess, is billing. There are a number of items in the left hand that you can explore at your convenience. And Settings. There are a couple of things of note in Settings. First I guess is being notified when your balance falls below certain levels which will help you not getting caught flatfooted if you don't hold the credit card. So for example you could say I want to be notified when they are less than that of 30 minutes prepaid time or any of those things. That's the default credit card address used if you're paying the bill and you can change who gets the emails about invoicing. That's pretty much all there is to it. I guess the password. You can change your password to something you can remember. We don't know your password, it's encrypted. So if you can't remember it, you're going to have to use the Change Password link on the login page. Otherwise, if you have further questions, please check the Wiki or email support@automaticsync.com.
