AST’s Audio Description

This example demonstrates how our smart player can be used to deliver extended audio description, which supports WCAG 2 Level AAA standards and provides a more detailed level of description than is typically available through standard audio description. When there is a large amount of dialogue with very few gaps, our player pauses the video and audio track during the descriptions to provide access to the most visually complex media.

We can also provide a full-text alternative to the synchronized media. This option can be used to support WCAG 2 Success Criterion 1.2.3 (Level A) or SC 1.2.8 (Level AAA). View the below example of a full-text media alternative for the ESA/Hubble video, or visit our support center for more details about how our audio description services can be used.
